
Marko Lopičić is an experienced entrepreneur and education sector leader with more than two decades of experience in Montenegro’s private education sector. Since 2002, he has played an active role in the development and management of language education institutions and private schools, contributing significantly to the advancement of modern, internationally oriented education in the region.
He holds a degree in Physics and Chemistry from Edith Cowan University and the Perth Institute of Business and Technology, as well as a diploma in Computer Science. He is also a holder of the internationally recognised CELTA certification issued by the University of Cambridge. Mr. Lopičić began his professional career with Alcoa in Western Australia before relocating to Montenegro in 2002.
Since then, he has served as Director of Oxford Centar International Language Centre, one of the largest and most recognised language schools in Montenegro. Established in 1987 as the first private language school in the former Yugoslavia, Oxford Centar is recognised for its high educational standards, international accreditation, and modern teaching methodologies.
Mr. Lopičić is also the Founder and Owner of International House Podgorica Cambridge Centar, a private language school focused on high-quality English language education and preparation for internationally recognised certifications. Through this initiative, he has further contributed to expanding access to quality education and professional development opportunities in Montenegro.
More recently, he has been involved in the development of The British Academy in Podgorica, where he is one of the owners. The school delivers a British curriculum aligned with Cambridge standards and provides students with a high-quality international education designed to prepare them for leading global universities.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lopičić has remained committed to building educational institutions that successfully combine international standards with local expertise and market needs. His work spans language education, curriculum development, and the advancement of private education infrastructure in Montenegro.
As a member of the Australia–Montenegro Chamber of Commerce, he contributes extensive experience in education, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation, while remaining strongly committed to strengthening long-term ties between Montenegro and Australia.
