Montenegro and Australia have gained a new bridge for business cooperation – the Montenegro-Australia Chamber of Commerce (MACC) has been officially established, an organization dedicated to strengthening economic, investment, and trade relations between the two countries.
The establishment of the Chamber represents an important step toward stronger integration of Montenegro with the Australian market, as well as the further engagement of numerous successful entrepreneurs and investors of Montenegrin origin who have been living and doing business in Australia for decades. The diaspora represents one of the most important bridges between the two countries and a significant potential for the development of new business initiatives, investments, and international partnerships.
MACC will operate as a modern, internationally oriented platform bringing together companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and institutions interested in developing cooperation between Montenegro and Australia. The Chamber’s goal will be to create new business opportunities, connect entrepreneurs, promote investments, and support the implementation of projects of mutual interest.
A particular focus of the Chamber’s work will be directed toward the transfer of knowledge, experience, and modern business practices from Australia to Montenegro. Australia today represents one of the most developed and stable markets in the world, with significant expertise in investment, innovation, energy, agriculture, and sustainable development. Through cooperation with successful companies and entrepreneurs from Australia, the Chamber aims to contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Montenegrin economy and creating new development opportunities.
At the same time, one of MACC’s key objectives will be to promote Montenegro in Australia as an attractive tourism and investment destination. Through the organization of business events, investment forums, B2B meetings, and presentations, the Chamber will actively showcase Montenegro’s potential in tourism, energy, agriculture, real estate, and information technology sectors.
The founders of the Chamber state that the geographical distance between Montenegro and Australia should not be seen as an obstacle, but rather as an opportunity to connect markets, ideas, and people. In the upcoming period, plans include establishing cooperation with government institutions, chambers of commerce, universities, and business organizations in both countries, in order to create a stable network of partners and open space for long-term economic cooperation.
The Montenegro-Australia Chamber of Commerce will strive, through its activities, to contribute to strengthening the international business position of Montenegro, connecting the diaspora with the domestic economy, and opening new opportunities for investment, trade, and the development of joint projects between the two friendly countries, Australia and Montenegro.
